Oiled Mahogany Decking in Mount Pleasant – Perth

This deck was constructed using Fijian Mahogany hardwood. This is not a traditional West Australian deck timber but it performs well and looks fantastic. Perth Outdoor Installations is one of the first decking companies to use it in WA. Like all timbers, the colour will eventually fade to a silver/grey if left untreated but when the right products are used the deck will look great for many years to come.

 

We only use and recommend what we believe to be the best decking oil. Tints can be added to suit the individual timber species or individual tastes, or it can also be applied without any tint depending on the client’s requirements.

This photo is an example of Fijian Mahogany decking that has recently been oiled with tinted oil.

The main reason the clients decided on Fijian Mahogany for their decking was that the colour contrasts well with the timber lined ceiling. The ceiling lining is Glosswood pre-finished ceiling lining boards. 

With well installed decking and timber lining these clients now have a warm, classy, and modern alfresco area. The down-lights, ceiling fan and speakers complete exactly what’s needed for an entertainers dream!
